New Location and hours for Salem Library​ (closed for now)

Salem Public Library at Broadway, 1400 Broadway St NE, opens Tuesday, February 18. SPL at Broadway will serve as a temporary Main Library until Summer 2021 during a seismic and safety renovation of the building at 585 Liberty St. SE.

Located on the corner of Broadway and Hood, SPL at Broadway offers books, music, DVDs, and public computer access for children, teens, and adults. The building is equipped with a book drop, free WiFi, a 61-space parking lot, and a bicycle rack.

Adopt-A-Street Cleanup (Cancelled)

Help clean up our neighborhood. We pick up litter along the 12th Street Promenade, which runs along the east side of 12th St between Mill St SE and Union St NE. The event will take place at 9 AM on Saturday, March 7. Please meet at the Safeway parking lot, located at 1265 Center St NE in Salem.

All necessary materials and supplies (trash bags, buckets, gloves, safety vests, trash grabbers, signs) will be provided at the event.

The Englewood Forest Festival Board has decided to cancel the event planned for August 8, 2020 after the Governor's announcement on May 7.

The EFF Board is looking into other possible alternatives to support our local artist community.

Our next festival is scheduled for August 14, 2021.
