What is Salem's vision for the future?
How do we want Salem to grow and develop? What goals do we have? How can we improve our community?
The City is in the midst of a multi-year project to update the Salem Area Comprehensive Plan, which guides development in the Salem area. This is a big project, so it has been broken into phases.
The City has wrapped up the first phase and is now conducting community-wide visioning. Since the summer of 2019, City staff has been out and about, talking to the community about future growth and development in Salem. What thoughts, concerns, and ideas do you have for the future?
The City expects to engage the community in a variety of ways, including public workshops, outreach at community events, stakeholder interviews, surveys, and more.

Geer Park Updates
The City of Salem is also preparing to add new uses and facilities to undeveloped areas of Geer Park, a 44-acre community park located at 241 Geer Drive NE. As a first step, we are updating the park master plan.
Visit our virtual project open house to learn about and provide feedback on the master plan update. The online open house will be available through June 21, 2020. Click HERE to take a look.

All necessary materials and supplies (trash bags, buckets, gloves, safety vests, trash grabbers, signs) will be provided at the event.

ENGLEWOOD FOREST FESTIVAL FOR AUGUST 2020 HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
The Englewood Forest Festival Board has sadly and reluctantly decided to cancel the event in Englewood Park planned for August 8, 2020 after the Governor's announcement on May 7.
The EFF Board is looking into other possible alternatives to support our local artist community.
Our next festival is scheduled for August 14, 2021.
